Queen Consulting Group Case Study
Epic EHR Implementation for Retail Clinic
Our client is the largest provider of retail healthcare in the U.S. They offer expanded services where clinicians can screen, diagnose, and treat customers and provide follow-up care for chronic conditions as well as provide services for minor injuries and illnesses, immunizations and annual exams, in-store or virtually.
CHALLENGE
Our client was looking to replace its proprietary in-house EHR with a new instance of Epic across the country. They needed a team of consultants to help with business process redesign while they selected a system, and then implement including build, training, and roll out. This implementation was the first of its kind and they needed a project team that could be flexible as well as quick to learn and problem solve along the way.
APPROACH
To assist with this massive rollout, the client was searching for an implementation partner to grow their staff and ensure project success.
Queen Consulting Group was selected as the premier partner to assist this client with their implementation, and recruited resources to meet all project needs including; Epic leadership roles, Project Management, Application Coordinators, Interface/Integration Developers, Report Developers, Instructional Designers, Principle and Credentialed Trainers, and Infrastructure certified professionals.
IMPACT
Our consultants implemented a stand-alone instance of Epic and rolled it out to over 600 clinics across the country. This implementation involved implementing Epic Ambulatory, Resolute, Cadence, Prelude, and Real Time Eligibility, and enabled continuity of care for patients between their primary care physicians and our client’s retail clinics.
